Welcome To Our Church!

Christ the King is made up of real people living real lives and discovering the real love that God has shown us through Jesus Christ.

Together we search and grow, ask questions and find answers, laugh and cry, and celebrate and support. If you feel that there’s been a void in your life, or if you’re new to the area and simply looking for a church to call home, then swing by and visit us.

  • What We BelieveWe believe that God loves us and welcomes us home as we are, but then out of love, encourages us to grow into the kind of people we never thought we could be. We are committed to building a warm, welcoming, and supportive Christian community that learns to love God and one another better.

Our Mission Our mission is to share the love of God in Jesus Christ with those in our homes, communities, and the world.

Christ the King is a part of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America). This is a Lutheran Church (Protestant) that was formed in late 1987 from many other Lutheran Denominations. For this reason you can go into one ELCA church and find it may differ from another ELCA you may visit.

As a Church we cover quite a spectrum of worship styles. Which is why we often are referred to as an “umbrella Church,” several tradition all housed under one name. Other denominations may refer to us as “Liberal” or “Progressive,” but a better description would be, “we are a Church Body consistently seeking justice and addressing issues here in the Lord’s creation for all of God’s children.”

Perhaps a bit of a mouthful, but the truth, when we say, “All are Welcome,” we mean it. Therefore, we invite you to come and see what we’re all about.  We also offer a Lutheran 101 class to help better understand our identity. All are invited to join us for this as well Lutheran or not. Blessings!!!”
